This is the General Privacy Statement and Policy (“Privacy Notice”) for the accilium GmbH.

accilium GmbH and its subsidiaries (“accilium”, “us” or “we”), understand that your privacy is important to you. We are committed to respecting your privacy and protecting your personal data, which is any information that can identify you as an individual person, collected via all websites or apps that post a link to this Privacy Notice (collectively, “the Sites”) This Privacy Notice describes how we process and protect your data in our capacity as data controllers.

Personal data we collect

accilium collects information when you register for the newsletter, request copies of publications, register for conferences & events, sign up for trainings or seek additional information regarding our services. In case that you do not provide such information, you will not be able to participate in the listed activities.

The personal data collected varies across the Sites and can include:

  • any personal data that you provide including, but not limited to your full name, address, email address, contact information, telephone number, job-title, company name,
  • in case of registration for trainings, your billing address
  • statuses, notes, and planning related to your training registration
  • e-mail communications

Data Processors

accilium may share your data with third parties to provide you with the requested products and services as well as to run our website. Those third parties and third-party service providers include:

  • third party service providers who process information on our behalf
  • our e-mail campaigns and our sign-up sheets are hosted by: Zoho Corporation BV, Hoogoorddreef 15, 1101 BA Amsterdam, The Netherlands (see below, Zoho Newsletter)
  • our business partners for publications and events co-organized by accilium and them.
  • additional information on our partners will be provided on a case by case basis and will be available directly with the sign-up information.

2. Newsletter

If you would like to receive our newsletter with updates to new articles, events etc., we require a valid email address as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the specified email address and that you agree to receive this newsletter. No additional data is collected or is only collected on a voluntary basis. We only use this data to send the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties. Your provided data and your approval has to be verified via the Double Opt-In method.

We will, therefore, process any data you enter onto the contact form only with your consent per Art. 6 (1) (a) DSGVO. You can revoke consent to the storage of your data and email address as well as their use for sending the newsletter at any time, e.g. through the “unsubscribe” link in the newsletter or by contacting us directly. The data processed before we receive your request may still be legally processed.

The data provided when registering for the newsletter will be used to distribute the newsletter until you cancel your subscription when said data will be deleted. Data we have stored for other purposes (e.g. email addresses for the members area) remain unaffected.

Zoho Newsletter & Download form

On our website, functions of the Zoho Campaigns service are integrated. These functions are provided by Zoho Corporation, 4141 Hacienda Drive, Pleasanton, California 94588, USA. Our direct contractual partner is Zoho Corporation B.V., Hoogoorddreef 15, 1101 BA Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and is therefore fully subject to European data protection law.

By registering for our newsletter, your data will be automatically transferred to our account at Zoho Campaigns, from where we send our newsletter. In addition, we store your data automatically in our CRM system (also from Zoho) to manage the business relationship with you. If you download one of our white papers, your data (name, e-mail) is also transferred to our Zoho Campaigns and CRM account. The newsletter that is then sent via Zoho Campaigns contains a so-called tracking pixel, also called a web beacon. With the help of this pixel, we can evaluate whether and when you have read our newsletter and whether you have followed any links to further information contained in the newsletter. In addition to other technical data, such as the data of your computer system and your IP address, the data processed in the process is stored so that we can optimize our newsletter offer and respond to the interests of our subscribers. The data is thus used to increase the quality and attractiveness of our newsletter offer.

In addition, we use Zoho’s CRM system to organize our business contacts as well as our commercial activities such as contract management with customers and suppliers. For this purpose, we store personal data on Zoho’s systems.

Zoho only stores data on servers in the EU. For technical support purposes, Zoho employees in India can access the data. Zoho’s Indian subsidiary has a data protection agreement in place with its Indian subsidiary in accordance with European standards. Facebook Plugin (Like & Share Buttons)

Our website uses plugins from YouTube to embed videos, which is operated by Google. The operator of the pages is YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA.

Usage-related information when visiting our website (server log files)
